Samsung F480 - Java ?

I have a SAMSUNG F480 and recently downloaded some applications to my PC and then transferred to my phone via Samsung software. When trying to open these files they are unsupported file types ? I believe the phone may need something to accept " JAR / JAD Files ?.....Perhaps, a Java Runtime program etc....Where do I get this ?

Can someone please help me here ?
