PS3 question

Hey guys,

What is the particular specification that I should look for when buying a PS3 to make sure that all my PS1/PS2 games will work with it? I'm not looking for an aftermarket mod or anything, just what to look for to make sure everything works right out of the box. Thanks.

I have a 40Gig ps3, the orginal model, it can only play PS3 and PS1 games though, if your looking for one that plays PS2 games, sorry but they basically discontinued it because of price droppings, I'm not for sure if the new Slim PS3 plays PS2 games, but I can look it up for you

EDIT: The slim version of the PS3 does NOT support other OS's, and the first issues of the PS3 the 20, 60 and 80Gig models of the PS3 only supported the Backwards compatiblity the Slim Version however does NOT

if it has 2 USB slots it is NOT backwards compatible.

I'm pretty sure the original 60gb ps3 had backwards compatibility. But watch out because they're also the most prone to get ylod.
