I have an HDTV that has 1 HDMI port on the back panel. Connected to it is my Comcast HD cable box. However, I recently bought a DVD player that uses HDMI, so I also bought an HDMI spiltter. Do I need to buy another HDMI cable to connect from the TV to the spillter, and then connect the cable box to the spitter and then the DVD player to the spiltter?

whaaaattt.. i bought a 3ft one at Target and it was like $17. what a rip off.

Why don't you just use a different output on the dvd player? You don't necessarily have to use the hdmi since the other outputs are capable of HD as well.
