Hard Drive not detected!!!

Hey guys!

I have 2 harddrives already both 250gb and they have both been working fine in windows vista!.
Yesterday i bought a new 500gb harddrive. When i go to bios, bios detects that the new harddrive is there so obviously the connection is fine. But when i boot to windows and go to my computer it doesnt detect the new harddrive


PLease if u guys can help me help this is so annoying.

You need to Partition and Format the drive for it to be usable.

Right Click on My Computer.
Click on Manage.
Double Click on Storage.
Double Click on Disk Management(Local).

You should see all your drives in this graphical display.

Right Click on the 500GB drive.
Click on Partition...

Follow the instructions.

This is the case with XP and I don't think Vista is much different
