What was the first game you ever played? Personally Final Fantasy VIII was my first game, and I sucked so bad at it..

Shamus. It was a little guy going through a maze getting keys to unlock doors. The goal was to solve the mystery of something. Can't remember. It was for the Atari 800 with a floppy drive.

My earliest "game" was Logo, playing with turtle graphics. Later on: Lode Runner, Test Drive, Xenon, Ultima and FF series, etc., and some Chinese and Japanese games that probably don't have appropriate English translations. I started from cassette tapes and 5.25" floppies; first machine was X-80 (8-bit). I appreciate both old games and new games. :D

it would have been on the Atari 2600, super breakout, pong, asteroids, centipede. An i thought they were amazing lol

Adventure - A pure text-only game that started out on mainframes then moved to PCs when they came about.

Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure I played Pong before Adventure since Pong was played from a console.
