router and wireless, different security question.

I have two desktops both behind a router. The router has WEP enabled and mainly use the laptop for wireless internet along with other applications. Will leaving the two desktop computers off while the router is on have the same security level as to leaving them both on?

the router has nothing to do with the computers. you can have the router plugged in on its own and it will still have wep and have the same settings
