How to tell if I am protected?

Today, while looking around, Facebook, maybe, and a pop up came up saying I was infected and that it had found several viruses, trojans etc. This has happened 2 times now. The first time was ablout a month ago. Anyway, I have a Macafee, and I just happened to run it, quick scan and full scan, last night, and then again today after that pup up came up, and it found nothing. I think it was some sort of windows notice, if I am not mistaken, but I could be wrong. What should I do to verify I am still clean? Any suggestion?

It's sounds like the AntiVirus 2009 pop-up. It's a rogue program that you do not want to install. An excellent program to use that will insure that you are not infected is Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware.

Yup....Norton does that to me much....It is annoying.....
