Cleaned virus but some sites are restricted now?

I was hit with a virus call security 2010 or something. I deleted it but it left me with two problems. One was a disabled task manager which I enabled through the registry and the other was, what looks to be, a few restricted or blocked select sites in my favorites. Most sites I have no problems with. I'm running Windows XP and using browser IE 7.0.

I have reset my internet settings, put these sites in my trusted sites list, cleared all history, temp files, etc. There is nothing checked in my LAN settings so all clear there.

well, if its blocking facebook its doing you a favor.


but its still the virus doing that. try Avast! or MBAM.

The virus is gone but obviously it left a souvenier

MBAM is a fix all for the most part. When combined with Super Anti-Spyware, CCleaner, and Microsoft Security Essentials I have met no virus I couldn't clean. Although once a computer is infected i guess its never really "clean" again.
