Avg 8.5

I keep getting this message from AVG, it doesn't say anything about AVG 8.5 being free. if I click (Install Now) will I be fooled into paying for something I don't want ?

It looks as though this might be legit. I did a little searching on the avg forum and there is some talk of it. I would wait at this point to see what some of the other members say too though.

Your version of AVG is way out of date. I'm sure that is a legit message. I would recommend updating to version 8.5.

You need to get the latest version, which would be AVG 8.5. You can either install a free version or a premium version. Just google AVG 8.5

AVG is legit. as Atomic Rooster wrote go to free.grisoft.com to download the newest version and it is still free. All of grisofts messages link to their paid versions.
