AIM and hackers

Is it easy to hack someone while you are directly connected with them on AIM because i thought i heard from someone you easily could.

Sort of...you can get their IP address from it. But unless you have some serious security vulnerabilities they can't really do anything with your IP.

Oo I see.. I remember someone saying something like direct connecting with them then doing something on cmd promp.

Yeah, using the command prompt you can get their IP. But not really anything more than that unless you send them a malicious file or something through AIM...

As long as you have a firewall / decent security you're fine.
