Default What is this?

Recently I was browsing the internet and me computer gained access to a website called www.zamnadserver.com. Not sure how, maybe I accidentaly clicked a link. I was using Facebook at the time. Anyway after accesing this website I had a popup or the page was redirected to something call 'Total Security Scanner.

Heres some info.
Name: My computer Online Scan
URL: HTTP://totalsecurityscannerv3.com

I thaught this was rather strange. Does anyone have a clue what this is?

Thanks for your help,
Daniel

It also told me my computer was infected. Without even doing any kind of scan.

After running McAfee, Spybot and Malware Bytes, I found nothing at all on my computer, I dont know if it was maybe 'Scareware' or something? I closed the popup right away.

when it told you your computer had these "viruses" did it show something that looks like windows explorer? if it did it was probably a fake.

I found it as a javascript pop-up with the Opera browser using VISTA. Sometimes clicking the cancel button on these types of windows can cause it to install code on your computer = spyware/trackware/virus. Close the internet connection first; then the browser window, or three-fingered log-off with windows. Check your computer with an anti-virus program.

It was "scareware" as you put it.

You did the right thing by closing it out.
