Default what is this?

I have a process running in task manager called rsvp.exe, its never shown up there before, and im just wondering do i need this and is it a security problem?

ok, well first of all, rsvp.exe is a process which handles Quality of Services between client and server for audio and video streaming applications. This program is non-essential process to the running of the system, but should not be terminated unless suspected to be causing problems. so there you go man.
