Virus from web page?

I'm kinda confused on what talking about but yes you can if you go to a false web page you can have a massive attack cookies somtimes have them temp folders ect. so yes

Well, how about this:

Is it possible for a web page to load/put stuff into your computer without you knowing it? Stuff like keyloggers, viruses, etc. I'm sorta worried about it right now because this link to me to a weird place. I wont say what was on the site it took me to, but it was weird. :( It didn't look appropriate.

I am fearfull because I don't have any anti-virus or firewall.

I was just wondering, is possible to get a virus from just being on a web page?

The answer is yes. With carefully crafted java script, and or activeX controlls, they can create a buffer overflow, and inject code into it, for example a virus, spyware, rootkit, etc...

Yeah its possible. I got a trojan horse after I clicked a link in a friend's AIM profile. If you get AVG and Zonealarm, you should be set. Dont worry about these things to much. Bad things are out there, but there are good free tools avaliable for you if just look.
