i may be talkin about something completly different here but does the virus/program give u a warning that in 60 secs the comp will shut down

errrr i am not 100% sure but i really dont think that a virus can intergrate its self into your OS

Well, I just went to a computer repair store, and they looked it up and said that System is a part of Windows XP. Yes, the program does say that Windows will shut down if I try to end the System process, because another process called WinLogon is a child of System, and WinLogon calls the shutdown.

this sounds like one of the problems i have. computer takes ages to shut down or wont at all.
