what browser are you using? When i first started up this current build, I had to use Windows explorer till i got chrome installed. I don't know if it was something in chrome or explorer but i had to let the pop-up blocker take it out once it was installed. Don't know if that will help, but i am sure others have had the same issue. Maybe they will know of another way to get rid of it.

It's probably Adware. Just run MBAM, Adwcleaner and JRT. That should leave everything good as new.

The first result when you Google "JRT" is this one:

https://www.malwarebytes.com/junkwareremovaltool/

And that's what it is.

I installed both of the downloads and sadly the problem is still there. I'm using Firefox.

Did you run the software? Or just installed it? Also, I mentioned 3 programs. Which ones did you run? What did the resulting text files say?

I'd suggest trying Adwcleaner as it more suited to removing adware and anything browser related. Also grab uBlock Origin :: Add-ons for Firefox - Firefox Add-ons - Mozilla. I use it in Chrome and it does a brilliant job of blocking ads.

Zemana AntiMalware. I have used this and it found things Malwarebytes missed.

Usually when you have a virus you do this:

1-rkill
2--MBAM
3-Hitman Pro
4-Zemana anti-malware (usually the portable version)
5-Adwcleaner
6-JRT

After that you can run Emisoft Emergency Kit just to be sure, but usually it won't pickup anything since all that software would already have. Resetting your browser to default settings is also a good idea.
