Default svhost?

hey guys, i was just wondering. Is it normal to have like 5 svhost.exe's? i think i have a virus or whatever.. please help me get my computer working faster again.

If you mean svchost.exe's then yeah i have like 3 or 4, if your computer ain't as fast as it was then its probably spyware or viruses. You probably have a new dell or something and they perform awesome for the first week then slowly decrease in quality.

No it is not a virus DON'T SCREW WITH IT. It is a program in the Windows operating system that handles the processes executed by .dll files.

And Computergen, what the heck are you talking about?

Dells and HP's and compaq's and such lose their quality and his comp could be slower because of spyware....whatd u think i was talking about?

svhost.exe is Service Host

Don't delete the process from your computer

Don't even touch it

The name is easy enough for you to work out

It hosts your computer

Actually, the system only preforms as fast as it's hardware lets it. Or as fast as it's told too...
