Nah
hijackthis files are used all over the world to trouble shoot problems. If it leaked personal info it would not have such a rabid following.

Sorry setishock! I got carried away. I'm going to bow out now and try to learn!

Hi Gary,
Your version of internet explorer seems to be out of date.
I recommend running Combofix, as it appears that several of your system files have been changed, I will list them below.
lsass.exe
spoolsv.exe
vds.exe
Please post the log that combofix gives you in another thread, as this one is for the OP, but it is very recommended.

I am leaning toward's Seti's opinion too. I'd get CCleaner and clean all junk out for a start.

System lockups (when even the mouse doesn't move etc) tend to be caused by hardware problems, most commonly hard drive issues if I'm honest as they're the only real mechanical bit to go wrong... the second most common hardware issue I tend to find is overheating, so it's also worth cleaning out your heatsinks in the PC if you can, and also make sure your fans are running correctly.

@OP,
I agree with everyone above on this matter, as I stated in my last reply to you. It really doesnt look or feel of any type of infection. Still, if you want that checked I can.

Alright, I'll go ahead and do that log file thing once I get the chance (probably within a week or two at most) and post back here. I really appreciate it in advance.

I'll also look into those hardware solutions as well. Will report back once I have the chance!
