Default Smitfraud Problem

Hi! I have a Dell Inspiron 1150 laptop running Windows XP Pro.
Lately my homepage has been changed to www.yoursystemupdate.com and I keep getting messages saying my computers infected. I stupidly downloaded SpyAxe or something like that. I tried Spybot S&D, Ad-Aware, counterspy but you have to pay. It wont let me delete the smitfraud as it says it's used in the memory.
Can anyone please help me get rid of this as it's serioulsy screwing the computer up and I need to use it.

Thanks for any input,

Knoxville

You could try www.trendmicro.com and go to their free Spyware scan, which is amazing. or www.f-secure.com and use their free online scanner. Or i think their is also a good one by a group called Panda or something?
