router security

Okay, my Aunt who lives near me has a wireless broadband connection with a router with a WEP key (I think) and my Uncle (not her wife, my other uncle) from the United States set it up and he forgot what the WEP key is. The laptop has it recorded, but it is starred out. Is there a way to disable the security and/or retrieve the password for backup in case the laptop fails and/or we reformat and need the password to connect again? Also, I have and my uncle (not the one that installed it, the one that is my aunts wife) have a PSP and we want to be able to connect but we cannot without the key. :(

My Aunt requested that I'd post it on here.

Checked. But a friend told me another way. To get the IP of the router, log in to and it would tell me in there. Can anyone confirm this?
