Default Putting a password on a specific folder

Yea i was wondering if it was possible to put a password on a specific folder on my computer. I know this is a newb question but i have been wondering and if this isn't the right place to ask please direct me in the right place.

If you put it into an archive of some sort you can password protect those

you could also use encryption www.pgpi.org

hope i helped
lol you can always convert your hd to ntfs and do it that way
