Norton 06 and Windows Updates

I'm having a really really annoying problem that involves the Norton Protection Center in the 2006 version of Norton. I have my settings for the Windows Update set at "Notify", but NPC isn't liking this. It automatically changes it to "Automatic". However, every 10 minutes or so, the setting for the Windows Update is turned to "Off"! I have no idea why, it just randomly changes to "Off", and it's bugging me! Any help would be appreciated...
