My comp but cant change pass

ok for my school we need laptops and sonce its mine i should me able to change all my passwords we have to have novell login.. the problem is i cant change any of them except the ones i make. i want to change them so no one else can get onto my laptop. i have tried ctrl + alt + del and change password, i have tried from control panel and more ways but none of them work. please i need help

Are you trying to change the password for local user or an network user??? i need more information before i can answer the question please

Have you tried asking the School Admin?

yea i did and she said no, i am trying to change my local username and my main password. if im logged in i cant change it and if im logged into my admin one (xpstudent) i still cant change.
