Default MOM.exe?

ATI Catalyst Control Center has a a program called MOM, which the description says is a monitoring program. I've searched this and the solution I found was to revert back to 7.1 CCC. I just wanted a second opinion, to see if you guys knew more.

according to the following link there MAY BE spy-ware in one file (\program files\mom\mom.exe)

Some people believe it is to monitor the ATI applications to make sure they're running smoothly.

Mom.exe is an ATI legitimate file.
