Default mcafee or norton?

i am starting to build a new computer and i was wondering about antivirus programs. which is better? i hear that norton is more thorugh but a little more complicated to use. mcafee is supposed to be simple but not as complete as norton. please help!

Neither. AVG. It's free, and it works splendidly. It doesn't consume your memory like both McAfee and Norton both do, either.

Norton by far the most popular. I stick by that product. Been using it since the first time I used the computer. The suite is really good. You get all these bundled software all in one including internet security (firewall, internet intrusion alert, web ad blocker, etc) and antivirus program.

so its norton all the way. what makes norton give you such good confidence in recommeding it to me?
