Which Internet Security Suite do you recommend?

There are so many Internet Security Suites out there. Does anyone have a good recommendation on a good one?

I was thinking about getting either Norton Internet Security 2010 for $19.99 or Bitdefender Total Security 2010 (also for $19.99).

They seem to have good reviews from what I've read. Are these good "security suites"? I'm mainly looking for an antivirus, firewall and spyware program.

Additionally, I considered free AVs, firewalls & spyware. The only reason I have reservations is because they're free! Are the paid for ones really safer/better than the free ones?

Another reason I didn't want to go the "3 free programs" route is because I'm afraid of having compatibility issues. Will the firewall from AlarmZone work properly with AVG, etc?

Also, will installing & having 3 separate programs run bog down my PC more than an all-in-one type security suite?

From my "research", I found the best bang for the buck to be either Norton or Bitdefender.

Now, when I say "research", I mainly googled internet security suite reviews and did some reading. Here are a few websites I read:

What are your opinions?

Free ones are still good. Free does not mean it has no value.

I use AVAST free edition. Works wonders. Software firewalls are not necessary if you have a hardware firewall such as a router. Only software firewall I use is the one built in Windows.

I have AVAST and Spybot Search and Destroy on my PC. I also use Mozilla Firefox as my web-browser.

What are your opinions?

I'm running both Notons 2010 and 360 on two desktops and find the software does not impede PC resources, It does the job as one would expect from these programs.

Highly recommended.
