Hello

i wanted to check my system for open connections to outer computers.

i typed the command NETSTAT -b > netstat.txt

attached is the output of the command

i have some problem with it .

i only opened port 31520 for Bittorrent on my Router .
but i can see in the output , that Bittorrent is Establishing connections to Foreign computers on diffrent ports.

why is it like this ? cant i limit my bittorrent to use only this specific port? 31520?

thanks|!|

BitTorrent is not a straight up downloader. You're downloading a single file from 10's or 100's of other people who are sharing the same file.

Also,
Specifying open ports in your firewall does nothing. Outbound traffic is not prohibited unless you configure that as well. A firewall will only block a port if a request from your computer has not opened it in the first place. Firewalls (by default) allow all outgoing traffic and the return packet of the request. Blocking a port typically only blocks unrequested traffic over that port.
