Default Help! Cant Host

i dont kno if this is the right place to put this topic but here it goes....
i cant host on warcraft 3 and i read a lot of articles and they all said to open ports. my router doesnt have a place where u can select "open ports" so please help me, give me helpful links

goto... start/run then type cmd or command. Then type ipconfig/all. find your DNS server IP and write it down. Then type this IP into an browser(I.E.,mozilla, etc). This should bring up your router configuration page. There is usually settings in there dealing with ports after you get to the page.

It also may be your firewall... disable any firewalls you may have before you play.

Yes abowlofrice, most likely you won't find an option in your routers setup explicitly stating "open ports". Instead, look out for something that says something to the regards of port forwarding.

i kno where to find my router ip but i jus dont kno where to port forwarding or open port, my friends netgear router has a place where u can select "open ports" :

haha thx guys, problem solved
i created a virtual server within my router and everytime i play i have to disable windows firewall

lawlz =D
