Default Re: Hacking Windows XP/ Pro Admin Passwords?

If you went to work for a security company and you hacked your school network, they'd be pretty impressed.

Because of popular demand, the great almighty sig has been changed.

jack22 not nessiarly. exploiting and understanding secuirty is different.

For example:

A kid can read a tutorial, log on a default account guest / test admin that has a default password install a root kit. Just because he compromised the system's secuirty doesn't mean much. My friend's school had a master password for all the mac g4 laptops they received. After 3 failed login attemps it gives you a hint "School Distrist" which brought them to one logical answer.

Usually it's the admin's fault a system is compromised. If the system is configured correctly, patches are installed, and precautions are taken (anti-virus, firewall, packet filter) the system is a lot more difficult to compromise.
Windows: A thirty-two bit extension and GUI shell to a sixteen bit patch to an eight bit operating system originally coded for a four bit microprocessor and sold by a two-bit company that can't stand one bit of competition.

This has gone just so far now I think

A Knight is sworn to Honour. His heart knows only Virtue. His blade defends the helpless. His might upholds the Weak. His word speaks only truth. His wrath undoes the Wicked.
