Open the case. You'll see a circular, button-cell battery on the motherboard. Remove this battery, and leave it switched off without the battery for about 15 minutes or so (I think), put the battery back in, and switch on.

The motherboard will then have "forgotten" the password, and all the old BIOS settings.

Exclamation Re: forgot BIOS password

hello!
the best is to reset BIOS by replacing the battery placed on the motherboard for a few seconds.then switch off the pc 4 sometime.it should be clear to u that it's dangerous.now u can see all of the settings r reseted n ur password will be broken.

As other people said ... to reset your BIOS password just take out the battery ... then wait a few minutes ... i don't know how many times this has been asked ...
