Do you have any recovery discs for your computer? Or a recovery partition?

I have the original XP disk but I don't know about recovery disks. Another aspect of this is that all the system restore dates have been eliminated and not by me. I'm also just trying to reinstall XP. HPxw8000 requires you to load SCSI driver via floppy before Win. is reinstalled. Driver downloaded from HP. The other time I did a reinstall it was straight forward but this time setup refuses to recognize the driver on the floppy. So I'm hitting a wall everywhere I turn!
