Best virus protection to use

oh zone alarm is good fire wall not sure about vista compadibility.
vista has good defult firewall.

Try using MicroWorld's eScan Anti-Virus. I was doubtful about it, but after using Norton, Symantec, Trend Micro and the likes I took a chance and using escan paid off. I have been living virus free for the past 1 year.

NOD32, easily for me. Previously (2004) had Norton systemworks full package, which consumed 100MB out of my 128MB RAM and windows had 27MB! Bought, installed and sold the same week. Awful unless you have huge excess resources. NOD32 ever since and has been a dream. Plus its £150 cheaper than Norton was! £23 per pc per year, can't moan at that for a very well maintained antivirus which is the only program in the world to have detected every virus thus far.

Free AV is only cheap until something goes wrong.

I hear and read a lot of different opinions on which is the best AV solution.

A lot of them are not based upon facts.

There is an anti-virus products comparative link here

Well you believe what you like, but the majority of CF members use NOD32 its very effective, AV are getting better by the day and so they should do, at the end of the day its down to personal preference.
