Default Best antivirus ever!

Download the Avast! home edition for free at download.com. Far better than AVG, as they're still updating it frequently, and it's residential protection is awesome. It's caught 3 viruses and 2 trojan horses before they even entered my computer. Nothing has gotten past it so far.

It's easy to scan, just open the interface, set the local C drive for a thorough scan, and click on the play button.

Nah, AVG's better for me. Takes up less RAM, scans faster, and is just as reliable in my experience.

Is the safe? AV programs are known to conflict with each other.

For free program I like AVG. AVG is very complete for a freeware program and offers real time virus protection. AVG also provides an email mailbox scanner and a task/update scheduler.
