excellent thread matt. As someone who was looking for resources to learn from you have certainly extended what i had. although the hackers.com link doesn't work (may just be down or something) but other than that, excellence all round. Don't fear as I am merely trying to learn as much as I can about computers/hacking/networks everything really, before and during Uni which I start in september. (computer science, naturally) I found the "15 minute" section on InterNics site very informative as a basis for understanding most of the more common terminology used. but that site has ceased to exist now which is a shame, i believe i still managed to give a link to it in another post on this forum, but you can't get to it via internic anymore, i checked my download zips and we back to the source, its an open library type resource rather than a site. I'll try and find it again and post it now, here.
Thanks again matt.

Fortunately when I had posted it previously somewhere here I had also bookmarked it, so here's a very good place to start for true newbies.
InterNic's 15 Minute Series
