AVG + MalwareBytes + avast is a nice combo.

eset is the best ,resource efficient or if resource is not a problem use bitdefender excellent AV.

It depends on your PC build and software configuration as all PC's are not equal.

You only get what you pay for and every different vendors software will have its pros and cons.

Avast and Eset are the two new players that are worth looking at and in my opinion very good programs and light on system resources

Again my opinion is I would use nortons over AVG any day.

One other important thing to remember is, Make sure you completely remove any previous traces of old security software before installing new software as this can create big problems.
