Default AVG not healing. Why? Next step?

It's been a while since I had a virus, but this morning I got this message on my computer following and AVG scan:

Threat Detected
File name is c:\Program files (x86)\personalAV/PAV.exe
Threat name is Trojan Horse Generic14.Adue

Regardless if I use the Heal or Move to Vault option, I get the same message: Do you want to use forced removal? Regardless if I choose yes or no, I always get the response: Some files cannot be healed, the action was interupted by user.

How do I get rid of the virus? Why isnt AVG working? Help appreciated

AVG may not have the tools needed to remove that particular virus. Try giving Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware a try. It does an excellent job at ridding your computer of nearly any virus or malware.

You could also try AVG with your computer in safe mode.
