OK so I'm guessing the artifacts in FurMark are the random lines/ glitches in the screen. Well I tested and gotup to 740MHz with no artifacts (750MHz actually). But when I ran 3DMark06 it failed as soon as it started until I backed it down a little bit. So this method may have a flaw.

so a buddy of mine has an alienware aurora that he bought around christmas. its liquid cooled etc.. so obviously i asked why it wasnt already overclocked. he told me he didnt know what overclocking was so i explained but then he told me that was going to void the warrenty. so i said fine and figured that overclocking the gpu wasnt going to void the warrenty atall. so i went into the ati program and noticed it was all gray, non of the sliders worked nothing. so here i ask, is overclocking the gpu going to void the warrenty? and also why is the ati overclocker showing up all gray like that? thanks. and remeber im pretty nooby myself.
