I paid not even $30 for a d-link router in august 2005. that was pretty cheap for a router. it has never disconnected once, i've had it since that date. so i don't really believe in the "get what you pay for" term

A year ago, yeah....that wasn't too shabby. You have to put value into a perspective as well.

Look at it this way, would you be willing to pay $30 for a D-Link Router, or an off-brand router? Buying an off-brand, just because they are cheap is the EXACT epitomy of 'getting what you pay for.' That is where VALUE comes into play....the VALUE of the D-Link router is far superior as opposed to a brand that isn't know for its nam nor reliability.

This is probably going to get no where. When it comes to technology, it should be a given to NOT buy cheap crap.
