For full systems, can you just get the desktop alone? Or do you have to buy them as a whole package along with a monitor etc?

I can get the towers. Monitor DOES NOT have to be included. Although, on some systems, Dell only gives like a $20 credit for the monitor. So, it's almost like a no-brainer to take the monitor, and possibly do a re-sale on eBay if you don't want it.

Maybe if you would read what I said....you would understand why I said that.

Depends on the maker, its capabilities, etc....you just quoted 4-5 OFF BRANDs. I would rather have a brand I know is capable of lasting and performing the daily duties I need. $26 for a SanDisk Cruzer Micro...so no....it's NOT A RIP OFF. You want a piece of crap, have at it.

So no, you're wrong...thanks though.

i'm wrong? why don't you go ahead and read the reviews for some of those flash drives before going with what you think. Dell isn't the best at jump drives

I never claimed they were. I don't believe SanDisk is made by Dell anyway....so that point is rather moot.

I can get flash drives for around the same price as you mentioned, but I'd rather sell someone a known brand KNOWN for doing the job it's supposed to, as opposed to selling an off-brand just because it's 'cheap.' Ever heard the term, 'you get what you pay for?'

I paid not even $30 for a d-link router in august 2005. that was pretty cheap for a router. it has never disconnected once, i've had it since that date. so i don't really believe in the "get what you pay for" term
