This is an old tweak. It was used in the good old days of dial-up to increase your down load speeds. Now settle down you two. Sheesh.

It's basically to do with how many files it can download in parallel, AFAIK.

Yeah I think it's a win98 tweak. With modern systems and cable internet, tweaks like this one are useless.

Changing the max connections to 10000 is only setting how many connections your allowed to have to the "website", most websites set the max connections server side, so it wont make a difference.

Don't "tweak" your registry, google mozilla speed tweaks or tcp optimizer.
