Bandicam, What is it capable of?

I forgot about the watermark. I guess you could pay to have it removed, but as root said, there are better ways to do this.

A little update on youtube-dl. I am using this video as an example:

To check available qualities (I removed the dot before the TLD so that the video won't show up and make the code confusing):
Code:

(Update)

I downloaded bandicam to a windows xp computer with mixed results. I copied part of a youtube video in fullscreen but when I played it back with the vlc player the audio was so low it was whisper quiet even at 200% volume (and it sounded bad). Plus I made the youtube video full screen and hit record but when I played it back on vlc it wasn't completely full screen ,even though the youtube video was clicked to full screen when I recorded it. (Its an old crummy computer I tested it with so when I hit record it made the youtube videos stutter even more than they allready did on that computer.)

Questions:
It was a first try but I'm going to need to do some more trial and error to get desired results. I'm wondering why the recording had such low volume? I had the volume up when I recorded. The mp4 recording was more than whisper quiet and did sound like i'd had some ambient noise also.

I tested bandicam on the bad computer because I wasn't sure of it. If I download bandicam to my good xp laptop will I be able to completely remove it later if it turns out not to be useful? Is it safe?

P.S.
@ AMD_man. Thanks
I want to start testing youtube-dl in the up and coming days when I get the chance to sit down and figure it out ,it looks promising. I'm actually eager to test it.
However,
Im still concerned about this baffling new development about how it seems that all "music videos" and "live performances" universally wont download in mp4 720p anmore, they will olny download in mp4 360p or lower ,while at the same time all other types of videos will as of now still show up in 720p.

I know youtube's codec is ever changing and that every 4 months or so some or all youtube video become un-downloadable for a short while until all the downloader sites update to match the new codec,then all the youtube videos become downloadable again.

(However ,In the three years of using downloader sites I would say these recent problems are unprecedented).
What baffles me is, how are "music videos" and "live music performances" being singled out in this way? Is it intentional or is it an unfortunate coincidence and side effect of something else?
For example (on the various downloader sites) all "pewdiepie" videos will have the "720p mp4" option show up among all the other qualities options, but when I drop the URL of Eminem's "Rap God" (or any music video) in to any of the downloader sites only "360p mp4" and lower will show up in the download options.

Theories:
1- Maybe all youtube videos registered with copyright aren't recognised by the downloader sites in 720p any more fore some reason. If so why is only 720p blocked? Wouldn't they want to block all forms of download?

2- Maybe "music videos" and "live music performances" tend to be uploaded in a format that has now become un-downloadable for some reason? However, this one seem kinda unlikely to me.

I fear that even youtube-dl is suffering the same problems as all the other downloader sites

Here are two HD youtube music videos that I've successfully downloaded in "720p mp4" in the past but now (as of about 9,15,2018) are not downloadable in that form anymore ,only "360p mp4 or lower" now.

(plus here is the site I download with https://en.savefrom.net/1-how-to-download-youtube-video/ and here another for comparison https://y2mate.com/

(Just drop the youtube videos URL into the field, if it doesn't work at first try multiple times,you do not need to actuliy dowload the video to do this test if you dont want to. Just drop the diferant video URLs into savfrom.net and compare what qualitys are avalible for the music videos v.s. non-music videos).

I challenge anyone to download "720p mp4" clones of these two music videos or any music videos for that matter.lol (These are two HD videos I have downloaded in 720p mp4 weeks ago, but now they olny show up for download in 360p mp4, 244p 3gp and 144p 3gp on savefrome.net)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXV7dfvSefo
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdzLl-XpJt0

Now try to download any "non-music videos" like "pewdiepie' videos or "saturday night live" videos or any thing ,you will find that they easily show up for download on sites like "savefrom net" in "720p mp4"

I am hoping I can use youtube-dl to select specifically "mp4 720p" to download youtube music videos. I am eager to test youtube-dl to see if it is immune to the new problem or not.

Both videos apparently can't be downloaded at anything over 360p with audio. Weird enough, they can be downloaded at 720p and 1080p but without audio. Here:

I can download the first one at 720 with audio and the second at 1024 with audio.

I knew it! I wonder what's causing this? Or theoretically could be causing this? What an internet mystery!
(what are you guys theories?)

@strollin
Ant downloader sounds like a promising solution. where do you get the version that you used? Do you put it on google browser of firefox or does it go to your computer?

@AMD_man
So you noticed the Ant downloader "Downloads both audio and video sepparately and then puts them together."

You are smart to notice this!

Questions:
when you downloaded from Ant, was the audio in sync with the video? what kind of file was it? an mp4 or other?

@Celery
You said "I can download the first one at 720 with audio and the second at 1024 with audio."
Witch downloader did you use? the sam as strollin?

As allways. Thanks for your replies

It could be something Google is trying to do to prevent people from downloading their videos (at high resolution at least). They probably noticed most people use websites for this. If they separate video from audio, the website would have to download bot files to their server, put them together and then send you the file. This would mean the server needs to use their own processors and memory to let you download in higher qualities. Also, it would be them who would be sending you the file, not YouTube, and thus you'd be wasting their bandwidth, not just Google's. It would be more expensive for websites that way. As a result, they would stop offering to download at high resolutions. This is why local downloaders don't have an issue with this. It's using your own processing power and memory, and still using Google's servers to download. (All just a theory though.)

About the file format, I already uninstalled everything, but I'm 99% sure it was MP4.

To download, simply go to the Firefox add-on "store" and search for it. Once you installed, you'll be prompted to install the Windows program and, if you say yes, you'll be taken to the download site. Install, reboot your PC (or just sign out) and start downloading.

However, since this thread is borderline illegal, read YouTube's TOS before moving forward.

Your theory sounds very realistic given what we know. I dont know to much about computers ,so insights like these are interesting and helpful. Thanks!

(Regarding Ant and youtube)
Are you saying "Ant" is even more dangerous than the sites Ive used in the past? Or are you just warning in general given the subject?
