What kind of jack is at the wall outlet? I'd use that kind of cable, since there'd be fewer connection points. Assuming it's ethernet, and that you have crazy fast fiber internet, i'd use CAT 6A ethernet. If you have a speed less than 500Mbit, a Cat 5e ethernet cable should be sufficient.
