contracted softonic.com, please help remove

Hello,

I recently seem to have contracted en.softonic.com (that's the best name I can give it). It's a popup that comes up in the lower right of my computer screen with random adverts:

I can't find it in the list of installed programs in the control panel (though it might be under a name I don't recognize), so I'm not sure how to remove it. I did a quick virus scan but it found nothing. I'll be doing a more intensive virus scan after I post this, but if anyone knows this program and knows how to remove it, I would very much appreciate your feedback anyway.

Sorry, forgot to mention: I'm running Windows 10 Home.

This may be Malware , that's why it's not showing up in your programs..

I would try scanning your computer with Adw cleaner, it's pretty good at finding Malware.

Go to the (star) and the settings menu will show any that have been added. Right click on it and click remove. Should solve the issue.
