Who else looks at the keyboard for letters order when they see a typo on the internet?

yes, you can sometime guess a typo by looking for keys around the letter that was typed. - but you don't know that they were using the same keyboard as you!

Guessing usually works by just looking at the typo on screen. Looking at the keyboard is just an obsession for me for one reason and that's to try to guess if the typo was actually a typo, not something intended like for an English word or some abbreviation I still don't know. Some one once typed tp and they actually meant toilet paper, not a typo for "to". I only knew that when I read the context

I do that too. When I see a typo I look at my KB and see the letter next to the key they meant to hit.
