Hello everyone

Is there a method to block the YouTube site (only this site) at the WiFi wireless network at home.

I made it in my laptop successfully with playing on the Host text file using adding the symbol #.

But, the site still is accessible by other tablet (iPad, iPhone, ..)

Thanks

You should be able to block sites from your router. Log on to your router and go to "security" or whatever your router calls it. You should find a page that will allow you to block stuff either by using a keyword or by entering the web site URL.

Some routers have a feature to allow blocking URLs. Some have options for dns resolution, in which case you could enter youtube.com and direct it to some other ip such as 127.0.0.1.

If you don't have these options, you can create an account at OpenDNS.com and point your router's dns to their IP. Could be cumbersome though, since if you have a dynamic IP, you'll have to run their little updater app on your PC.

I have never seen a router that does not come with parental control features. Search google for "Parental controls (your routers name)".
