Hi,

I'm now getting a very annoying issue with WMI Provider Host process. I use Windows 10 and everything is fine before I took the Creators Update.

After that, my computer appears running slower than it often does. When I bring up Task Manager, there is a system process called WMI Provider Host that taking up more than 60% of my CPU resource.

What should I do now?

Hi @kevindk3,

I have encountered this error one time before. The first step I would recommend taking is to access Windows Service (press Win + R, type services.msc). Then find:

- Windows Management Instrumentation

and restart it. This way often works in some cases.

I would also recommend restarting these services:

- IP Helper (iphlpsvc)
- Security Center (wscsvc)

Find out more information about this error at this guide, I found it on Google.com!

After following your tip and restart those services, it seems this WMI process is no longer taking up CPU anymore. I don't know whether it will be back or not, but thanks :)
