Hi all,
I'm new here
My question is;
I'm currently looking into getting a new laptop. I've had my MBP since 2012 and was looking to upgrade - but the prices are just ridiculous considering they feature out-dated tech!
Anyway, I was kind of settled on an Alienware 15 R3 - pretty highly spec'd out. (i7-6700HQ, GTX 1070, 256ssd boot + 1tb 7200rpm storage).
Costing about £2100
Then I discovered PC Specialist and their Octane III - which I loaded up to those specs but with an i5-7600k (i7-7700 and 7700k available)
Costing about £1900
Could somebody clarify whether the Alienware is worth the extra? Be it build quality/refinement/aftersales etc etc.
Any other thoughts welcome as long as they're constructive!
Thanks!
