iPod storing my documents

Can you transfer the my documents folder to the iPod. I know you can store your computer photos to the iPod but I didn't know about the document folder

You might be able to find some sort of storage app that will do it but the iPod will not support this natively.

Easier to use something like Dropbox and then use the app to access the files via iPod.

I have the first generation iPod from 2006. I'm not sure you can even download apps? Or App Store

The older ones had a "disk mode" where you could use part of the memory like a flash drive. There's a step by step here:

It wouldn't do this automatically though you would physically have to drag and drop files in there

Would you have to put it in disk mode as well in order for it store document files

You would have to switch it into disk mode to either add or remove any files. Like I said, disk mode basically makes it work like a flash drive.
