So, hit a couple issues trying to revert back to Win 8. I tried to put Win 8 install on a 30GB USB drive and it got all the way to the end and said there wasn't enough space. There was nothing else on the disk, and it was formatted to NTSF...
Also, I looked in my computer's original box and cannot find an activation key.... =/ I assume this is going to be an issue when attempting to do a clean install? (If I can get the USB to work, that is.)
Darkseeker - The errors don't say anything specific, but it'll happen when I first log on after a fresh startup. I'll sign in and an error that says something along the lines of "Cortana experienced a critical error. We will try to fix this the next time you sign in." And then it'll sign me out, I'll sign back in and it usually gives me the same message again. I usually have to restart at that point.
I'll also basically have windows explorer stop working after the computer has been on and started up fine. This usually happens after I've woken it from sleep mode, I don't think it just randomly happens while using it. Can't select anything from the task bar, start button on keyboard doesn't work. At the same time, the brightness setting gets stuck between two settings and I can't go higher or lower than the two.
The touchscreen has also not worked since installing Win 10. I've tried updating the driver and it's up to date.... And I don't think it's the hardware that's the issue... Also, I just upgraded to Win 10 Pro yesterday and had to downgrade cause the speakers didn't work. They're working again.
