We are in a rut

Later I decided to upgrade the CPU heatsink/fan. Had to take it all apart and reassemble again.

Before I built my i3 system I had this old AMD X2-3800+ system. I had it for 6 years and still working but since it only hold 2 gigs of memory I started running out of memory while online.

Notice the PSU? El Cheapo to the max but I survived.

By the way, it's a Pentium II case. I've used that case in many builds.

So it was time to build a system which is the i3 system but it started as a Celeron. This dual core Celeron was a surprisingly good CPU for $50. Later I got an i3-2105 CPU and also added a Radeon HD6670 video card to it.

This is the current and probably final rendition of the machine in my sig, new build on X99 or Z170 coming in the near to mid future... or maybe on Skylake-E or Cannonlake. Whenever I have the money really. I'll definitely be posting that build log up when it comes to it.

It's so... red!

That was the idea :p Originally it was blue, but when I got the red MSI card I just changed over the fan rings and grabbed some new braids and LEDS, total cost of going from blue to red was about £20 :p

Pretty sure the motherboard is going to be on it's way out soon; it's been my overclocking and tinkering plaything since 2011 so I'm not all that surprised.

Liking the new ice white Z170 board from MSI... maybe I'll go for a white theme next time.

My X2-3800+ motherboard is an MSI. Over 6 years old in use and still going.

I still have it. If it's still working why toss it? :)
