Thanks to all who have given advice. Just had a phone call from the man in charge of the Mormon Family History centre to tell me that the centre is closed this week for what they call "family week". So I will have to wait till the Thursday after to try out the suggestions. Regards

Hi again,
Last week the LDS's internet went down ! The new router was fitted yesterday so this morning I was up and at it again. Made all computers WORKGROUP but still got the ivp6 error on the W7 machine so I removed the printer usb cable and conected to one of the XP machines. After installing the software and after some sharing etc. changes, I had 3 of the 4 computers (including the 2 W7 ones) printing. The last one was in use by a patron so I will have a go at that next week. Thanks to all who offered advice, most welcome
